Watch: Gone Wild – A Short Film By Fernando Jara

Budding filmmaker Fernando Jara teams up with Jack Tyro, one of New Zealand’s best young surfers in his short film Gone Wild.

Filmed in and around Jack’s home breaks near Christchurch, the film’s ethereal visuals and immaculate sound design, paired with his mastery of the surf – on both shortboard and longboard – are hypnotic, to say the least. Yet it maintains a personal touch that gracefully navigates between its dreamy cinematography and Jack’s personal life.

Fernando Jara dreams of becoming a professional filmmaker. And Jack Tyro dreams of becoming a professional surfer. After watching Gone Wild, it’s easy to see that both are well on their way.
